My Story
Hi everyone! I’m Amy Boardman, born and raised in Missouri but a Kentucky girl at heart. I landed in the Ville in 2006 to start my design career and knew I was home! I love the culture, the traditions and it’s beauty. It’s here where I found my passion for design, my soulmate and my furry soulmates as well. This town has been incredibly lucky for me and inspires me everyday.
During my years working with many clients, there have been a handful of questions I get asked regularly. What better place to answer some of these than here?…
What started it all?
It started early! While my friends coveted another outfit for their Barbie, I had my eyes on a new sofa for her. Next I was rearranging my bedroom furniture on the regular and sketching my dream house floor plans.
Did you study design?
I’m a graduate from Missouri State (Bachelor of Science Interior Design).
What were some of your 1st jobs?
Breaking into design was tough!
I did anything and everything design related.
Pier 1, picture framing, decorating vacation condos at Lake of the Ozarks-Yes, THAT Ozark!
What would you say was your big break?
In 2004 I got a job on the display model team for a national home builder. 2 years later I became lead designer for their Louisville division
What’s your favorite part of design?
I live for accessorizing. Finding the perfect mirror or light to complete my vision feels empowering!
How would you describe your own style?
It’s definitely eclectic and ever changing. I’m mostly drawn to clean lines and organics but I also love vintage and cozy.
In your career, what are you most grateful for?
It’s honestly the relationships I’ve made. I’ve been lucky enough to become good friends with so many of my clients and industry colleagues over the years!
